What are the manufacturing processes of mainstream capacitive screens?

Capacitive touch screens are mainly divided into three main technologies: OGS, On-Cell and In-Cell according to different manufacturing processes. Their main principles are as follows:

The OGS (One Glass Solution) process integrates a touch sensor and a cover glass, that is, an ITO conductive layer is plated on the inside of a general protective glass to protect the single piece of glass. The strength and safety of the glass, as well as the touch function.

On-Cell technology: On Cell refers to a method of embedding a touch screen between a color filter substrate of a display screen and a polarizer, that is, a touch sensor is disposed on the liquid crystal panel.

In-Cell technology: The In-Cell solution is to fabricate the Sensor electrodes Tx and Rx in the middle of the LCD Cell box to form an in-line sensor, saving additional sensor substrates, reducing the thickness, weight and cost of the touch module. Achieve better touch effects. In-Cell maximizes compatibility between touch and display in terms of design and process, but due to its own structure, it still has some difficulties in design. All major panel manufacturers are actively developing this technology. In order to achieve good touch and display effects and suit the needs of various production lines, the design schemes of various In-Cells are also different.
